Speed Camera or Not?

I feel that some times speed cameras are a copout for… well cops. Either way this guy takes his disdain of cameras and makes it pretty funny.

Cellphone Etiquette

I really think phone etiquette is something that goes totally unchecked. I will say this musician dealt with it in a funny way that I am sure embarrassed the cell phone offender.

Dance Like No Ones Watching? Even At Work…

People should enjoy their work and have fun with it or else it will wear you down and make you feel miserable. This guy definitely enjoy’s his work! Think of that as you head into the work week this Monday morning.

What is a blog?

What is a blog? Something I am constantly tinkering with and improving. A place for all my public ideas. A digital footprint in the cyber world letting everyone know I was here. A blog adds simple credibility to thoughts by allowing them to be “published” and “timestamped” (although both those are slightly amorphousin the blogosphere). To some others a blog is a personal journal. What are your thoughts? Share in the comments.

Wiki has gone dark

Wikipedia has officially gone dark today as a sign of solidarity against SOPA. Google is also sporting a blackout bar. Reddit, Boingboing, and a few others are standing up as well. Wikipedia is in the top ten Alexa sites and so it going dark for 24 hours should be interesting. I am sure there are some out there who won’t know what SOPA is and try to look it up on Wikipedia. That my friends is a frustrating loop.

Pinterest

Pinterest

Well my wife is on Pinterest and I have hovered over her while she “pins”. It seems interesting but really like a DIY/Craft/Design/Artsy version of Tumblr. Don’t get me wrong I have enjoyed recipes Anna pulled from Pinterest and some of our Christmas decor this year was influenced by things pinned from Pinterest (not sure if thats the right lingo). Now I am not going to dismiss its viability amidst all the other microblog/social sites, but it further shows that success can be driven by appealing to a niche. My “interest” now is how can I develop something for the next niche.
